Under the Laws of The Federation of Nigeria all persons who practice Production and Operations Management are to be registered by the Nigerian Institute of Production Management ( NIPM).
Employers are obligated to ensure that they do not employ quacks but persons duly registered with NIPM. This has always helped complying organisations to increase value through higher level of competitiveness, productivity, quality, reliability, safety, efficiency, cost effectiveness and customer service.
NIPM Members always comply with the Nation’s Statutory Regulations on Quality Standards, Good Manufacturing Practices ( GMP/ cGMP), Occupational Health, Safety and Environment etc.
Notable Federal Government Agencies, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and individual organisations have partnered NIPM to train and certify their managers and employees consistently over the years with outstanding results.
POWERS TO REGULATE AND AUTHORIZE CERTIFICATION.
No Certification in Production And Operations Management is legally valid without the approval of the Nigeran Institute of Production Management (NIPM ) or its accredited organisations or agencies. This rule applies to anyone who is engaged in any Production/ Operations Management practice be it in manufacturing, agriculture, mining, energy/ oil and gas, construction or services or any role and functions to which Operations is applied such as Supply Chain Operations, Logistics Operations, Maintenance Operations, Safety/ Security Operations, Project Operations, Purchasing/ Procurement Operations, Transportation Operations, Warehousing Operations etc.
